Inside a Bollard...

Welcome to a New Year and a look inside a Westminster City Council bog standard bollard.

If we examine the photograph (above) we can see the bollard is a rectangular iron/structure (rusting) encased within a molded composite material which is in the main ribbed and painted finished a gloss black. The bollard must have been struck by a pretty hard object vehicle to have cracked the casing material.

The first #guestbollard (below) to be featured in 2014 happens to be from Nr 24th/Valencia San Francisco, USA supplied to us by @MBridegam on the twitter, a huge thank you for these wonderful urban camouflage bollards. What a start to 2014 !
